Work Plans
Introducing enhanced work plan creation, seamless external dependencies, and custom row heights.
We've enhanced collaboration and streamlined task management with several new features in the Work Planner.
A notable addition allows tasks across different plans to be linked, ensuring that any schedule changes in a linked task prompt an alert to the related task's owner. Upon confirmation, their plan automatically updates to mirror these changes. This feature is accessible to users with Reader access or higher, enabling them to link tasks as predecessors, while those with Contributor access or above can link tasks as successors. An email notification will be sent out for any changes to linked tasks, keeping everyone's work in sync and improving response to project timeline shifts, thus enhancing project coordination.
Additionally, we've introduced a customizable row height feature in the work plan, allowing for a tailored view that improves readability and task management.
Further simplifying the user experience, navigating to a blank work plan schedule now presents direct options for creating a new work plan, eliminating the need for separate insert template actions and saving valuable time.

4. "Approvals" work type
This is a new feature that acts similar to building an approval flow with power apps. This work type will allow for moving from process step a to process step, giving the ability to have an approval task that gets sent out to a person and say "yes this plan has everything that is needed and I approve".
Timesheets
Streamlined time management and enhanced user experience.
We are pleased to announce a series of updates designed to enhance the user experience on our Timesheets.
Firstly, we've improved the readability of time entries by adopting a straightforward format ("1h 30m"), moving away from decimals for easier interpretation.
Editing has also been made more intuitive, allowing for quicker updates directly from the plan or task names for users with the right access.
The Approvals Detail Grid View has seen simplification by removing unnecessary elements and now includes a "Period" column for easy identification of start and finish dates.
Furthermore, we've introduced flexible deletion options in the toolbar, allowing users to delete selected or empty rows with ease.
Searching within a project has been refined to only display tasks related to the selected project, streamlining the search process.
Enhancements to the timesheet toolbar include text labels on buttons for clearer navigation, an organized grouping option, and a new "Expand All / Collapse All" button for convenience.
The timesheet entry quick edit window now places field values below their labels for a clearer view, and we've reformatted total hours and utilization displays for better visibility.
Task fields now adhere to format rules regarding background and text colors for consistency, and a new notes indicator visually signifies the addition of notes in a time entry, mirroring the familiar comment indicator in Excel.
These enhancements reflect our commitment to improving navigation and data management on our platform, ensuring that tasks and projects are managed more efficiently and intuitively.

You can now personalize your home page in OnePlan. Customize your experience by adding, removing, reordering, and resizing widgets according to your preferences. Additionally, OnePlan administrators can set default home pages for users within each enterprise security group.
This enhances user experience by allowing more tailored and efficient access to what is most relevant to you.

Plan Details
Optimize your planning with enhanced multi-line text box features and improved plan linking functionality.
The Plan Details page has received significant enhancements, particularly with the multi-line text field control, which now features new options including "Print" and "Full Screen." These added functionalities provide improved usability, facilitating better document handling and viewing options for managing plan details more conveniently.
Additionally, the process of linking plans has been greatly streamlined. The associated items grids on the plan details have been upgraded with a new plan picker, simplifying the task of finding and linking to another existing plan. This newer picker not only makes the search process more user-friendly but also significantly boosts the loading speed, enhancing the overall efficiency compared to the previous version. These enhancements collectively contribute to a more streamlined and user-friendly planning experience.

Text labels have been added to the right of toolbar icons for improved clarity.
Financial Plan
Introducing custom cost category reordering for enhanced financial plan management.
You can now reorder custom cost categories with ease. In the contextual menu (hamburger) for each custom cost category, you’ll find "Move Up" and "Move Down" options. Selecting "Move Up" will shift the category up one row, while "Move Down" will move it down one row. This change will affect the ordering across all cost types, not just the current one.
This simplifies the organization of cost categories, making it easier to manage and view them according to your preferences.
Log In
Updated log in experience provides streamlined access and smarter sign-In redirection.
When logging into OnePlan, users will now see "Sign in with Microsoft" as the first option, with the option to create or sign in with a OnePlan Forms account following it. This adjustment streamlines the login process by prioritizing Microsoft login for quicker access while still providing the alternative for those preferring the OnePlan Forms account.
Moreover, when users log back in after signing out, they'll be taken directly to the same OnePlan environment they were using before, instead of being sent to the default my.oneplan.ai. This makes the transition smoother and quicker, improving the overall user experience by keeping them in their last-used environment.
