This article explains how to create new generic resources manually into OnePlan.

1. Get into Resource Center

2. Change the view to Generics

3. Click Manual Add to let column in descending order
Generic no Sync: Edit in OnePlan manually, Workdays daily refresh will not affect the manual data in OnePlan.
Named with Sync: Resource data will detect, and update based on Workday daily refresh.

4. Filter to your own BU’s name

5. Check existing Generics for your own BU before adding new one.

6. Add New Generic Resource

7. Click and select “Generic”, and fill in following fields
Display Name: Based on the structure already set up in OnePlan (e.g. *BU | R&D | ____ ), type in the Generic’s name
Business Unit/Group: Select your own BU
Manual Add: Select -> Generic no Sync

8. Save the information
